From abroad to four supermarket chains: an AgriPlus+ grower’s story

Constantin Novac being interviewed by Agrobiznes among vegetable rows on his protected-cultivation farm

Constantin Novac, a young vegetable grower from Dubăsarii Vechi and one of the farmers in the AgriPlus+ programme, is featured in a new interview by Agrobiznes. Five years after returning home from abroad, he has built a protected-cultivation vegetable business that now supplies four supermarket chains in Moldova — and he’s still expanding.

In the interview he talks about choosing niche vegetables to stand out, knocking on retailers’ doors to win listings, the realities of year-round local supply, and why he stays optimistic about the future of Moldova’s vegetable sector. He also describes the sensors installed on his farm — part of AgriPlus+ — that track air and soil temperature, humidity and soil conductivity to support better agronomic decisions.
