A full house for the Smart Horticulture seminar in Chișinău

On 30 September 2026, AgriPlus+ brought together farmers, students, partners, retailers and financial institutions at the Technical University of Moldova for the practical seminar "Smart Horticulture". A full auditorium at the Faculty of Agricultural, Forestry and Environmental Sciences heard how data, financing and market access come together for Moldova's vegetable growers. The programme featured a live demonstration of field sensors with real data from farms in the programme, a session on access to finance with Prima Finanțare and national agencies, and a market-access panel covering retailer requirements for local vegetables and GlobalG.A.P. certification as the gateway to retail and export, with Dr Andrei Cumpănici and APEL. Farmers from the programme shared their first-season experience, and the event closed with a visit to UTM's experimental protected-cultivation facilities. The seminar was organised by AgriPlus+ (Advision Finance, Prima Finanțare and FSASM/UTM), with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
